what is a circle?
A circle is a simple plane shape (2D) in geometry. It is made by drawing a curve that is always the same distance from the centre.
The RADIUS: Distance from the centre to the edge of the circle
The DIAMETER: A straight line that starts at one end of a circle's edge and go all the way to the opposite, through the centre
The CIRCUMFERENCE: The distance around the edge of the circle (perimeter)
The DIAMETER: A straight line that starts at one end of a circle's edge and go all the way to the opposite, through the centre
The CIRCUMFERENCE: The distance around the edge of the circle (perimeter)
fun fact:
If we divide the circumference of any circle by its diameter, we will always get 3.141592654... which is the number PI (π).
